Beckham’s England dream
Wednesday, 02/11/2011
Former England captain David Beckham is still dreaming of playing for his country.
Becks, who hasn't turned out for the Three Lions for more than two years, says he is ready, willing and waiting for a call
"If there are players injured or out, if I'm ever needed, then of course I'm available," said the former Man United and Real Madrid star.
Beckham, whose contract with LA Galaxy ends this month, added: "I'd love to play for England again and I believe I will."
The 36-year-old midfielder has already expressed a desire to play for Team GB at next year's Olympics, something that could well happen.
Although he has been linked with a transfer to Premier League sides, Paris Saint Germain remain favourites to sign the player.
