Bruce favourite for Wolves
Tuesday, 14/02/2012
Steve Bruce is the new favourite to take over the Wolves hot seat.
The former Wigan, Crystal Palace and Birmingham City boss has been out of work since he was sacked by Sunderland last November.
Bruce, 51, still has his family home in Birmingham from his time at St. Andrews and Wolves see him as the man who could save their Premier League status.
The Geordie has masses of managerial experience and saved Wigan from relegation during his second spell in charge of the side. He then lifted them to 11th in the Premier League.
There are reports that Bruce could be offered a £1m bonus if he saves Wolves from the drop to the Championship.
Molineux boss Mick McCarthy was sacked yesterday after almost six years in charge. The club are likely to appoint a new boss on a contract until the end of the season.
