Chelsea agree Cahill fee
Friday, 30/12/2011
Chelsea have agreed a fee with Bolton for defender Gary Cahill.
But the Blues still have to sort out personal terms with the England centre half.
Bolton boss Owen Coyle revealed: "There has been a fee agreed between the clubs and we have now given Gary's representatives permission to speak to Chelsea."
The 26-year-old, who is out of contract in the summer, is still some way off agreeing his personal contract at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas admitted: "We're still miles apart regarding agreement with the player.
"I think his technical attributes are immense and his pace is fantastic as well," he added.
AVB said highly rated midfielder Josh McEachran would not be joining Bolton on loan – as had been expected by many – but the player could join another club to get more game time.
