Cisse set for QPR

Djibril Cisse is set to join QPR.

The former Liverpool and Sunderland striker is believed to be ready to sign from Lazio.

Cisse, 30, who left Sunderland after a loan spell from Marseille in 2009, joined Panathinaikos in Greece before a move to Italy in July 2011.

Although he agreed a four-year contract with Lazio last summer he has scored just once in 17 league games.

A fee of around £4m is thought to have been tabled by the Loftus Road side.

Meanwhile, QPR have signed Nancy midfielder Samba Diakite, 23, on loan with the view to a permanent deal at the end of the season.

The Mali international has made 15 Ligue 1 appearances for Nancy this season and has been taking part in the African Cup of Nations.
