Crouch battle

England striker Peter Crouch is wanted by both Stoke City and QPR.

The Potters are favourites to land the 30-year-old who appears to be out of favour at Tottenham.

A price tag of around £8m could put off Rangers although Stoke may still be interested after failing to reach a deal last week with West Ham hitman Carlton Cole.

Crouch doesn't want to leave White Hart Lane but might be forced into moving to get regular first-team football.

Spurs need to sell players so they can bring in fresh blood and are being linked with a possible loan move for Man City's former Arsenal striker Emmanuel Adebayor.

He had a season with QPR a decade ago before permanent moves to Portsmouth, Aston Villa, Southampton and Liverpool.
