Fulham skipper Danny Murphy ended his side’s run of three defeats with the only goal of the Europa League game against Basle.

Striker Andy Johnson's cutback to Murphy after 56 minutes and he smashed home an 18-yard strike.

Keeper Mark Schwarzer, who had a good game, pulled off a diving save to deny Mark Chipperfield in the final minute. Fulham had an earlier penalty claim turned down for foul on Johnson.
