Drogba set to leave

Drogba set to leave

Tuesday, 29/11/2011

Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas looks like having more problems to solve with Didier Drogba set to leave Stamford Bridge.

The Ivory Coast striker has reportedly turned down a new one-year contract offer with the Blues.

Drogba, 33, is believed to be unhappy about the length of the deal and wants one last big pay day in the veteran stages of his career.

He looks set for a move to Russia, Qatar or even the USA.

Drogba is hugely popular with Chelsea fans but the club might be forced to try and sell him in January or risk losing him on a free next summer.

That could add even further to Villas-Boas' problems as France striker Nicolas Anelka is also unhappy at being on the bench and is a target for both Paris Saint Germain and Anzhi Makhachkala.

Add £50m miss-firing striker Fernando Torres to that list and the manager has some serious front line problems to sort.
