Eboue departs

Arsenal have lost their second player in two days with Emmanuel Eboue set to join Galatasaray.

Just 24 hours after Cesc Fabregas' move to Barcelona, defender-midfielder Eboue looks like agreeing a four-year deal with the Turkish side.

Ivory Coast star Eboue, 28, leaves the Gunners after six years having made more than 200 appearances.

The Turks said in a statement: "Galatasaray has begun negotiations with Arsenal FC for the transfer of Ivorian-Belgian professional football player Emmanuel Eboue."

Stiker Nicklas Bendtner and midfielder Samir Nasri could also leave the Emirates Stadium before transfer deadline day.
