Harry seeks loans
Tuesday, 03/08/2010
Despite landing a place in the money-spinning Champions League this season, Harry Redknapp has admitted that he may limit his summer transfers to three loans!
Though he refused to name names, Redknapp has previously expressed interest in three players – Man City's Craig Bellamy, AC Milan's Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and Lyon midfielder Jean Makoun.
"I can see loans happening. I've got three players in mind that would not cost a lot of money," Redknapp revealed.
"People are going to loan players from all over the world, there will be loads because clubs are struggling to pay the wages. There will be high earners they have to loan out."
Tottenham, who finished fourth last season, will have to sell before they can buy, with the likes of Robbie Keane and David Bentley regularly linked with switches away from White Hart Lane.
And with the duo both linked with Aston Villa, Redknapp described James Milner's impending switch from Villa to Man City as "key" to the transfer market.
* Tottenham fans, do you fancy that trio on loan?
