Friday, 09/12/2011
Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas has rubbished talk of midfielder Frank Lampard moving to LA Galaxy.
It is understood that the MLS champions have been eyeing up the England star as a possible replacement should David Beckham decide to leave them.
But AVB said there has been no contact between the clubs and that the free-scoring star still has a major role to play at Stamford Bridge.
Lampard, 33, has surprisingly found himself used a a substitute on a number of occasions this season but has bounced back to top form every time he's pulled on a shirt.
"Everybody is challenging for their place. The conversation for Lamps is exactly the same for all of the players," said the manager.
He did admit that transfer seeing striker Nicholas Anelka and defender Alex are now training with the reserves.
