QPR signing spree
Wednesday, 18/01/2012
New manager Mark Hughes is set to bring fresh faces into Loftus Road – despite being told that target Chris Samba is not for sale.
Hughes is still hoping to persuade Chelsea's Brazil defender Alex to move to the Hoops. He is also chasing Brazil striker Henrique.
Alex, who is thought to be unhappy about joining a team battling relegation, is set for more talks with Hughes, a bid having been handed to the Blues.
Hughes and other clubs haved been warned off Blackburn centre half and captain Samba who Rovers say is not for sale.
QPR are believed to have agreed a fee for a long term loan of Henrique, who plays for Sao Paulo.
Rangers hope to build a permanent move option into the deal, providing the Brazil Under-20 player can get a work permit.
