Rangers star’s record
Wednesday, 30/12/2009
Rangers striker Kris Boyd hit five goals in the 7-1 rout of Dundee United to make him the Scottish Premier League's all-time top scorer.
His 160 top-flight goals takes him past the previous best set by former Celtic striker Henrik Larsson. His new best was set despite Rangers having fellow hitman Kenny Miller sent off early in the second half.
Boyd scored a penalty and then hit two more in the first 29 minutes. His other two goals came after 75 and 80 minutes.
