Rio is back

Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand returns to Premier League action on Saturday against Hull City.

Old Trafford boss Sir Alex Ferguson confirmed the England centre-half's return after being out of action since the end of October.

Whilst the doubters were predicting that Rio wasn't going to be around for quite a while yet, we said on Boxing Day that he was edging towards his comeback.

Fergie said: "This is the time to bring him back. We have gone through all of the endurance and training work with him."
