Rooney appeal changed
Thursday, 17/11/2011
The date of Wayne Rooney's appeal against his three-match international ban has been brought forward 24 hours.
It will now take place on December 8 so that the Man United and England striker can attend and put his case.
Originally the hearing was the following day, 48 hours after United are playing in Basle.
Rooney received a red-card for violent conduct in England's last Euro 2012 qualifier against Montenegro.
The ban would mean him missing all of the group games at the finals - although boss Fabio Capello would probably still pick his star man.
Rooney has admitted he only has himself to blame for the ban but believes that his punishment was harsh.
