Swede for Spurs

Tottenham are favourites to land Sweden midfielder Rasmus Elm.

The AZ Alkmaar forward has made 21 appearances for his country and Spurs could get their man for around £6m.

Elm joined AZ two years ago from Swedish sdie Kalmar and is under contract to summer 2013.

Man United and Arsenal are both understood to have watched a player who has been rated alongside the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovich.

Elm has been in stunning form this season and it is thought Tottenham may agree to buy the player next month but that he may not arrive in London until the end of the season.

His older brother, David, had a short spell with Fulham before returning to his home country earlier this year.
