Aussie Tim Cahill grabbed the winner as much-weakened Everton came back from a goal down to beat Bate 2-1 in Belarus.
Likhtarovich had put the home side in front with a stunning 35-yarder before Marouane Fellaini headed an equaliser.
David Moyes's side made it two Europa League wins in a row with just 13 minutes to go thanks to Cahill, although they had to defend strongly for much of the game.
