Torres blow for Reds

Liverpool striker Fernando Torres is out for the rest of the season.

The Reds' season of woe continued with news that the Spain star will be sidelined for six weeks after a knee operation.

Torres, who would almost certainly miss the Europa Cup should Liverpool reach the final, is expected to make the World Cup finals in South Africa.

He has had to return to England by coach and train because of the flying restrictions all over Europe. This is the second operation on his right knee this campaign.
