United star’s new deal
Monday, 01/08/2011
Antonio Valencia has agreed a new four-year deal with Manchester United.
The 25-year-old Ecuador winger joined United from Wigan two years ago in an £16m deal.
He missed a big chunk of last season with injury but bounced back to be a key player as United lifted the title.
Boss Sir Alex Ferguson said: "Antonio has made a fantastic contribution since his arrival. His speed, crossing ability and versatility have been a big asset for us."

Having seen the recent success at Barcelona the past few seasons I think English Football can learn from their Spanish counterparts in more way’s than one.
Pep Guardiola a former player was unproven as a coach to my knowledge more English clubs should be taking a chance on British Managers rather than go abroad.
Also rather than spend money on players from abroad who would command fortunes in wages why not take a chance on young emerging players hungry to succeed and would be motivated by winning trophies and not by their wages. Unfortunately these days they are few and far between does anyone agree?
