Villa boss faces protest

Aston Villa boss Alex McLeish is set to face a furious protest by fans.

The former Birmingham City gaffer always knew that moving across the second city was going to be difficult – but now faces his toughest challenge yet.

Supporters have become increasingly unhappy with the Scottish manager and want to vent their feelings before this weekend's game with Manchester City.

Winger Charles N'Zogbia was visibly unhappy at being subbed against Newcastle at the weekend and there have been reports of a clash between the boss and midfielder Stephen Ireland.

The defeat at St. James' Park left Villa in 13th position in the Premier League and worrying about a slide into the drop zone.

Fans are calling for the club's directors to take action "before it is too late and the unthinkable happens."
