Vucinic heading for Premier League
Wednesday, 27/07/2011
Roma striker Mirko Vucinic appears to be heading to the Premier League - with Manchester United and Tottenham heading the race.
The player's agent has claimed there have been preliminary discussions about a move to Old Trafford.
But it also believed that Spurs - who have been after a top striker all summer - could move for the hitman.
Montenegro star Vucinic is valued at around £15m and his arrival at White Hart Lane would mean even more pressure on Peter Crouch and Robbie Keane to depart. It could even signal the end at Spurs for Jermain Defoe.
Vucinic, 27, had also been linked to Juventus but they appear to be dragging their heels over a deal and the player is only luke warm on the move.
Vucinic has played 200 games and scored 63 goals since joining Roma in from Lecce in 2006.
