Yobo rejoins Fenerbahce

Everton defender Joseph Yobo has rejoined Turkish giants Fenerbahce on a season-long loan.

The 31-year-old centre back first joined The Toffees back in 2002 from Marseille and will now spend his second successive season on loan with the Turkish giants.

He won the Super Lig championship with Fenerbahce last year and will be keen to impress once again in a bid to earn a permanent move. 

A regular in the Nigerian international squad, Yobo did not play in any of Everton’s pre-season friendlies and looks likely to leave the club before his contract expires in 2014.

Yobo joins the list of recent departures from Goodison Park, with Mikel Arteta and Jermain Beckford exiting the club on transfer deadline day, joining Arsenal and Leicester City respectively.
