Premier League

JOEY BARTON (Newcastle). He got booked in the 1-0 win at Wigan but most pundits agreed that the Scouser was in blinding form - as he has been most of the season. Barton certainly appear a lot quieter on the 'Bad boy' front than he used to be and his form since August has been noted by many as close to an England call-up.

Championship

MARVIN SORDELL (Watford). A cooly taken goal in the 3-0 victory over Portsmouth - but also a performance that showed why many top-level scouts have been watching the young Hornets' star.

Leagues 1 & 2

LEAGUE ONE: GLENN MURRAY (Brighton). A hat-trick within the hour of the 5-0 drubbing of Leyton Orient took his total for the season to ten. He's out of contract at the end of the season - any bets on him being offered a new deal?

LEAGUE TWO: JACK LESTER (Chesterfield). The former Forest star has been banging in the goals since arriving at Chesterfield and helped himself to three more in the 4-1 destruction of Stockport to keep his side top of the table.
