Premier League

Dimitar Berbatov (Man United) For the second time this season, Berbatov is our star Premier League performer, after grabbing a superb hat-trick to defeat Liverpool 3-2. His second, a sublime overhead kick, will be replayed for years.

Championship

Jamie Mackie (QPR) The former Plymouth forward struck both goals in his side's 2-0 defeat of Leicester, to take his scoring run to eight goals in seven Championship games! Rangers are already topping the table and, with a goal machine like Mackie in their ranks, can expect to remain there this season.

Leagues 1 & 2

League One:

Jamie McCombe (Huddersfield) The defender grabbed a brace as the Terriers overturned a 2-0 deficit – which was inflicted in the first 15 minutes of the game – to defeat Yeovil 4-2 and leap to the top of the table.

League Two:

Craig Davies (Chesterfield) Another player to strike twice, Davies' inclusion is more for the nature of his goals rather than the quantity, though. His second, the final goal in the Spirities' 3-0 win over Cheltenham, was a 25-yard firecracker – certainly the goal of the round in League Two.

Graeme Timperley

Owen Hargreaves is said to be back in training with the first team squad.

I am a bit sceptical about it as he has been out injured for over two years other than a brief appearance as a sub at Blackburn in April.

I hope he does come back playing for the first team soon, if he does it will say a lot for the character of the player.  Whether he can get back to what he was like before he had the injuries remains to be seen however if he does come back the United fans must be patient as it will take a while longer to regain some form as it did with Gary Neville when he came back from injury a while ago.
