Championship

Craig Bellamy (Cardiff) After his surprise loan move to Cardiff, Bellamy marked his debut with a scintillating performance and a 35-yard free kick to seal a 4-0 win. Not a bad start.

Craig Mackail-Smith (Peterborough) Part of a fearsome front-line, Mackail-Smith notched twice as Posh secured a 3-0 away victory against promotion rivals Plymouth.

Shaun Jeffers (Cheltenham) Two down with just ten minutes to go against unbeaten Burton Albion, Cheltenham looked doomed. That was until the intervention of substitute Jeffers, who set up two goals in as many minutes to give Town the win.
