Premier League

Carlton Cole (West Ham). It could have been Chelsea's Didier Drogba. It could have been Everton's Steven Pienaar. But Cole's return to the Hammers side after injury has had a massive impact and no more so than in the 3-0 home victory over Hull when he had a major influence and scored the second goal. England boss Fabio Capello will have taken note.

Championship

Charlie Adam (Blackpool). Not for the first time this season the Scotsman was the Tangerines lifesaver with another amazing display, this time in the 2-0 him win over Reading. The forward's proved a bargain buy from Rangers but Pool could have a problem hanging on to him this summer.

Leagues 1 & 2

Leage One

Lee Barnard (Southampton). Two goals, his first for the Saints since his January move, gave them a 2-0 win at leaders Norwich and proved that he could be a bargain £175,000 buy from Southend.

League Two

Gary Jones (Rochdale). The veteran midfielder is now 32 and in his second spell at Dale. He showed why they wanted him back in the 3-1 victory by the league leaders over Dagenham.
