Premier League
Theo Walcott (Arsenal). He came in for some stick after his England performance in midweek, but the forward turned on the class as Arsenal defeated Burnley 3-1. He created chances and scored a superb goal himself.
Championship
Danny Guthrie (Newcastle). Played in the centre where he is far more effective than out wide and had a major influence on the game. Also added two goals in the 6-1 romp against Barnsley, one a piledriver his hero Steven Gerrard would have been proud of, his second a wicked free-kick.
Leagues 1 & 2
League One
Roy O'Donovan (Hartlepool). A hat-trick from the on-loan Sunderland forward in only his second league game for Pool as they defeated Southend - the team where he'd had a previous loan - 3-0.
League Two
Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro (Grimsby). Won the penalty that set the Mariners on the path to a 3-0 win against Shrewbury, their first victory in 26 league games. The forward also scored one himself.
