Premier League
Fernando Torres (Liverpool). Never write off a great player! El Nino had been criticised for a lack of scoring earlier in the week but bounced back with two great goals and a brilliant performance in the 3-2 victory at West Ham.
Championship
Charlie Adam (Blackpool). The midfielder is proving to be the Tangerines danger man and his fourth goal in five games ensured Blackpool’s first win at Forest in 45 years.
Leagues 1 & 2
Rickie Lambert (Southampton). He scores goals wherever he plays – but in addition to the his two penalties that gave Saints there first win of the season, the striker also put in a good all-round performance.
Wade Small (Chesterfield). He scored the first and made the last as the Spirerites won 4-1, having taken a 4-0 half time lead for the first time in 26 years.
