Leagues 1 & 2

League One: Jordan Rhodes (Huddersfield). Terriers boss Lee Clark picked him up from Ispwich for just £150,000 the 19-year-old's hat-trick in the 4-0 destruction of Exeter and his all round performances will have considerably boosted his value over the past few months.

League Two: Calvin Zola (Crewe). The return to the Gresty Road manager's chair by Dario Gradi gave the team a boost, especially striker Calvin Zola who crashed home two early goal to put them on the road to a 3-2 win at Bradford.

International

Wayne Rooney (England). His tireless work, his movement all over the pitch and his total committment from start to finish against Ukraine earns The Roonster the vote - although he was pushed hard by sub keeper David James.
