Norwich City are reportedly edging closer to confirming the signing of Senegal international forward Mame Biram Diouf, according to Talksport.

The Premier League side, who currently sit just two points above the relegation zone, are ready to recruit the Stoke City striker having fallen out-of-favour at the Britannia Stadium this campaign.

The 28-year-old, who has 29 international caps for his country, has scored three league goals in 14 appearances for the Potters this season.

Diouf; who kick-started his English football career with Manchester United back in 2009, is willing to be shown the exit door by Stoke boss Mark Hughes this month, although the Canaries could face late competition from Newcastle United for his signature.
