Looking back and reminiscing footballing history is a personal favourite of Shoot!’s, so what memorable moment happened On This Day?

Despite beating Southampton on Sunday afternoon, Tottenham fans will still be mourning the loss of top scorer Harry Kane who faces a second spell on the sidelines this season after hobbling off against Millwall in the FA Cup.

With that in mind, fans in the lilywhite half of north London may want to cast their mind back to the England international’s break through season in 2014/15, when On This Day he bagged his first Premier League hat-trick for the club in a 4-3 thriller against then new boys Leicester City.

Since that afternoon at White Hart Lane, in which Emanuel Adebayor was warming the bench for Spurs whilst Riyad Mahrez was introduced as a substitute for the Foxes, Kane has bagged a further three league hat-tricks, a record which no other player can match, not bad eh?
