In order to win their first title since 2004; many believe Arsenal need to buy a world-class striker before the close of the transfer window if they are to end their 12-year wait for a Premier League trophy.

Karim Benzema would have been the first choice for Gunners fans, but the 27-year-old, who has also attracted interest from Premier League rivals Manchester United in the past, has seemingly ended those rumours by saying he is staying at the Bernabeu.

Arsene Wenger’s side have also been linked with PSG striker Edinson Cavani, but any move for the Uruguayan could boil down until the late stages of deadline day.

    4 sure, gunners needs a competent striker that we can end up the long term wait for a prize winning. Cavan yes, but is he the only? Can’t wenger look 4 more strikers? Wenger is not each and everything in a team.
