Stoke have strengthened significantly this window but with Mame Biram Diouf and Peter Crouch the only two recognised centre-forwards (Jon Walters now occupying a wide role) they could be left short up top if one ot the guys suffers injury or a loss of form. Interestingly they’ve been linked with another big name in Brazilian striker Alex Pato. The former AC Milan star was highly rated as a youngster but has lost his way in recent years. Despite that, at the age of just 25, he could well be worth taking a risk on. Bojan, Afellay, Shaqiri and Pato in the Stoke XI. Try telling Potters fans that a few years ago.
