One player Stoke could sign on Deadline Day

Stoke have strengthened significantly this window and Mark Hughes’ comments suggest that it would have to be a special deal for him to make a move on Deadline Day.

With Mame Biram Diouf and Peter Crouch the only two recognised centre-forwards, they could be left short up top if one of those suffers injury or a loss of form.

Interestingly, they’ve been linked with another big name in Brazilian striker Alexandre Pato, who played with current Cty forward Bojan at AC Milan. The forward was highly rated as a youngster but has lost his way in recent years.
