Though Garry Monk is unlikely to add to hi squad after the Swans’ impressive start to the season, including a hard-fought draw at Stamford Bridge on the opening day of the season and a victory over Newcastle, another striker may be lined up. Three of their five goals this season have come from Bafetimbi Gomis, however it could be said that there isn’t much of a back-up should he get injured. While Andre Ayew looks to be a great signing from Marseille, he has been used a lot on the wing so far this season meaning another centre forward may well be required. They were linked with a swoop for Sunderland striker Steven Fletcher, who is in the final year of his contract, and although it’s pretty unlikely, he remains an option if Monk wants to get another body in before Wednesday.
