Arsenal and Liverpool are reportedly set to miss out on signing Germany international forward Julian Draxler this summer, according to ESPN FC.

The Premier League duo have been linked with the Paris Saint-Germain winger recently following the world-record £200m arrival of Neymar from FC Barcelona.

The 23-year-old, who has 35 international caps for his country, scored 10 goals and provided three assists in 25 appearances in all competitions for the Ligue 1 giants last season.

Germany’s Julian Draxler.

Draxler, who arrived at the Parc des Princes back in January following his move from German outfit Wolfsburg, has been subject to speculation about his future, having not featured for PSG so far this term – although he did represent Germany at the Confederations Cup in Russia earlier this summer.

With Arsenal and Liverpool interested in his services, the report suggests PSG are in fact not looking to move the left winger on again this transfer window, disappointing his potential Premier League suitors ahead of the August 31 deadline.
