Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal entertain Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City on Sunday (4pm kick-off) as the Premier League returns after a break for internationals.

The Gunners suffered a 3-1 defeat at West Brom a fortnight ago to increase the pressure on under-fire manager Wenger, but the Frenchman has got the perfect opportunity to silence his critics by beating third place City on Sunday.

And one man he’ll look to is in-form forward Alexis Sanchez, who will look to add to his 18 goals and nine assists with another match-winning contribution at the Emirates against the Citizens.

However, Guardiola’s City have lost just one of their nine Premier League games in 2017 to sit third in the table, seven points clear of Sunday’s opponents.

Although the Manchester club got knocked out of the Champions League earlier this month, it could still turn out to be a good debut season for Guardiola, given that they are third and looking good for Champions League qualification, and are two wins away from an FA Cup crown.

One of City’s stars in recent weeks has been forward Leroy Sane, who has netted four goals and laid on two assists in his last eight games, and Guardiola will look to his pace and trickery as a way of unlocking the Arsenal backline on Sunday.

So, with these two forwards set to go head-to-head on Sunday, here is how Sanchez and Sane match up in the Premier League this season…
