Southampton manager Claude Puel has revealed that record signing Sofaine Boufal will be on the bench for the first time since his arrival when they face Inter Milan at the San Siro tonight.

The Saints, who are currently level on four points at the top of Group K, head to Milan to face an out-of-sorts Inter Milan, who lost their two opening group stage games.

Boufal arrived on the South Coast from Ligue 1 side Lille over the summer for a record-breaking £16m fee, but is yet to feature for his new club due to injury.

There were rumours that the winger could have been involved in the 3-1 win over Burnley on Sunday but he was left out of the squad.

However, speaking ahead of the historical European clash, Puel has told the club’s media that we are more than likely to see the 23-year-old on the bench at the San Siro this evening.
