Southampton were forced into an FA Cup third round replay with Norwich after Canaries forward Steven Naismith headed home a 92nd minute equaliser at Carrow Road last weekend.

Goals from centre-half Virgil van Dijk and Maya Yoshida looked to have got the Saints comfortably through to the fourth round, but Claude Puel will now has to add the replay to his already packed schedule.

Arsenal at home await whoever makes it through the replay at St. Mary’s on Wednesday night, a tie that will not scare Puel’s side, having already knocked the Gunners out of the EFL Cup this season at The Emirates.

The south coast side have been on a woeful run in the Premier League of late, with a 1-0 loss at Burnley on Saturday being their fourth league loss on the trot.

However, the cup has been a fine escape for Saints fans this season, with Puel’s side taking a 1-0 lead to Anfield next week in the second leg of their EFL Cup semi-final.

With a bad run in the league, however, the French manager will be considering some changes from the team that faced Burnley, here are THREE he needs to drop…
