Queens Park Rangers have emerged as the favourites to land Middlesbrough winger Albert Adomah.

The Championship rivals are reportedly ready to offer the Ghana international a lifeline before the close of the transfer window tomorrow following the forward’s request to leave the Riverside this summer.

The 27-year-old, who has 16 international caps, scored six goals in 51 appearances in all competitions for Aitor Karanka’s Boro last season.

However; Adomah was left out of the squad for the second game in succession as Middlesbrough defeated Sheffield Wednesday 3-1 at Hillsborough, pushing the former Bristol City man further towards the exit before Tuesday’s 6pm deadline.

With England international Charlie Austin also set to leave QPR for a Premier League outfit in due course, manager Chris Ramsey is keen on bringing in Adomah to bolster his attacking options after the player formally submitted a transfer request on Teesside earlier this month.
