Spanish rivals Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are looking into the possibility of a move for Chelsea striker, Diego Costa after his falling out with manager Antonio Conte, according to reports from the Independant.

The Spaniard’s former club, Atletico, who were linked with a move in the summer, could bring the 28-year-old back to the Vincente Claderon as a replacement for forward Antoine Griezmann, who they believe is destined to join international teammate, Paul Pogba, at Manchester United.

The Premier League’s joint top-scorer has been the centre of a fall-out at Stamford Bridge, with a lucrative move to China on the table, and was left out of the side which beat champions Leicester 3-0 at the weekend.

Spanish champions, Barcelona, have reportedly made Costa’s representatives aware of their interest as they look to bring in cover for former Liverpool striker Luis Suarez, who is on the cusp of turning 30.

Costa has been a driving force behind Antonio Conte’s side’s rise to the top of the Premier League this season, although the win over Ranieri’s men proved that they could cope without the talisman.
