With another season of Premier League football already guaranteed for the Swans prior to May, it was the in-form forward who bags Shoot’s award for the Player of the Month following a hot streak in front of goal.

It was a brilliant end of to the season for the Welsh side as they picked up seven points from a possible nine throughout the month, ending the campaign with 47 points on the board and a 12th-placed finish.

The month started with an impressive 3-1 victory over Liverpool at home, where Ayew helped himself to a brace as Swansea turned on the style in the rain.

An even more impressive 4-1 victory away at West Ham followed a week later, as the Ghanaian was once more on target – before the season ended with a creditable 1-1 draw at home to Champions League chasing Manchester City.

Once again Ayew was on target that afternoon, as his deflected free-kick gave Joe Hart no chance in the City goal, as he ended the campaign with 12 Premier League goals.
