Chelsea have long been criticised for their loan system, with nearly 40 players on loan each season and very few making a first team appearance, many feel they’re doing something wrong.

One of the players who has spent the season out away from Stamford Bridge, and very successfully it’s worth adding, is striker Tammy Abraham.

The 19-year-old bagged 26 goals in all competitions across a season spent with Championship strugglers Bristol City and was crucial to them avoiding relegation to League One.

His form has sparked interest, and not just in the Championship. According to reports from The Sun, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is interested in snapping up the England U21 international, and it seems the forward could well be tempted.

The tabloid also claim that should he not be involved in Antonio Conte’s first-team plans next season Abraham is ready to turn his back on the club and make a move.

With Wenger’s pedigree when it comes to developing young players, the Chelsea youngster would certainly be interested in a move to the Gunners.
