These 2 defenders would be perfect for West Ham in January

West Ham United have been knocked out of the FA Cup after being on the end of a 5-0 thrashing at home to Manchester City last Friday evening.

City’s goals came courtesy of Yaya Toure, a Havard Nordtveit own goal, David Silva, Sergio Aguero and John Stones.

The Sky Blues will face an away trip to either Bolton Wanderers or Crystal Palace at the next stage of the competition.

Slaven Bilic’s side can now put all their focus onto their Premier League campaign. They face a London derby at home to Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon. The Hammers are currently 13th in the league table and a win at the weekend could see them return to the top-half of the table.

Bilic’s team have struggled severely at the back this season. They have only kept two clean sheets in all competitions since November. They have also struggled with injuries at lot this season, meaning that they have spent a lot of this season depleted.

If West Ham want to save their season, they will need to add some more defenders to their squad in the current transfer window.
