Manchester City suffered a dismal 4-0 defeat at Everton on Sunday to all but end their slim hopes of winning the Premier League title this season.

Pep Guardiola’s side went into the clash ten points behind league leaders Chelsea after their 3-0 success at Leicester on Saturday, and they remain that far behind thanks to goals from Romelu Lukaku, Kevin Mirallas, Tom Davies, and Ademola Lookman.

It means that Guardiola’s side slip to fifth in the Premier League table, two points behind fourth place Arsenal, and just two points ahead of neighbours Manchester United in sixth.

City have won 13 of their 21 league games this season, but six of those victories were in their first six matches of the campaign, which means that they have won just seven of their last 15 Premier League games – in the same time, leaders Chelsea have won 13 of their 14 league matches.

Guardiola’s men will surely now turn their attentions to securing a top four finish for a seventh successive season, but more additions in January may be needed for them to stave off the likes of Arsenal and United for a Champions League spot.

However, more additions will likely mean that some players have to leave the Etihad Stadium this month, so here are TWO Man City stars that must leave the club in January for their own good…
