As the 2017-18 Premier League season draws ever nearer, so does the closure of the 2017 summer transfer window.

Whether it is the top teams splashing the cash to try and snatch Chelsea’s title from last term, or the newly promoted outfits investing heavily in a bid to stay in the English top-flight come next May, expect many more deals to go through before the 23:00pm deadline on Thursday, August 31.

This summer has seen AFC Bournemouth smash their club-record fee to land Chelsea defender Nathan Ake, Arsenal bring in defender Sead Kolasinac and striker Alexandre Lacazette, meanwhile defending champions Chelsea have got the chequebook out for AS Roma’s Antonio Rudiger, AS Monaco’s Tiemoue Bakayoko and Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata.

Elsewhere; Everton have spent well over £100m so far, recruiting the likes of Jordan Pickford, Davy Klaassen, Sandro Ramirez, Michael Keane and brought back Wayne Rooney to Goodison Park.

Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah in action against Wigan Athletic.

Merseyside rivals Liverpool broke their club-record transfer fee too, signing winger Mohamed Salah from Roma. Manchester City have strengthened their defensive ranks significantly with the arrival of goalkeeper Ederson, plus defenders Kyle Walker, Danilo and Benjamin Mendy.

Manchester United have coughed up over £100m by bagging centre-half Victor Lindelof from Benfica and forward Romelu Lukaku from Everton, whilst West Ham United have completed some shrewd business by bringing in the likes of Pablo Zabaleta, Joe Hart, Marko Arnautovic and Javier Hernandez.

Tottenham Hotspur are the only Premier League club to have not made a signing so far this summer transfer window.

So, after that brief summary of transfer dealings, here are Shoot!‘s Top 5 Summer 2017 Premier League transfers, so far…
