Tottenham are weighing up a move for Newcastle winger, Moussa Sissoko and could use out-of-favour midfielder, Nabil Bentaleb as part of the deal, according to The Mirror.

The French international has been turning heads across Europe after his displays at his home European Championships after a disappointing season with Newcastle which ended in relegation to the Championship.

The Magpies have slapped a £35m valuation on the 27-year-old and Spurs are looking to bring that down by including their Algerian midfielder in the deal.

The 21-year-old, who Spurs rate at £15m, has attracted interest from Rafa Benitez and is currently training with the U21’s at the club’s Enfield training complex., whilst he awaits a move away.

The defensive midfielder made his way through the ranks at North London outfit after joining from third tier French side, Dunkerque in 2011 and has made 66 appearances for the first team, scoring on one occasion, however he as fallen down the pecking order at White Hart Lane under Mauricio Pochettino and looks destined for an exit.

An exit before Deadline Day next Wednesday also looks certain for Sissoko, having been linked with Real Madrid, Arsenal and Borussia Dortmund before Tottenham during the summer.
