Tottenham line up move for former Arsenal star

Tottenham are reportedly lining up a move for Barcelona midfielder Alex Song before the close of the transfer window on Tuesday.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is keen to bring in a defensive midfielder before the deadline and his top target is Southampton’s Victor Wanyama.

However, that deal is in doubt as the Saints are refusing to sell the Kenyan, meaning the North London outfit are looking at alternatives, which include the former Arsenal man.

Song, who is also interesting West Ham after spending the 2014-15 campaign on loan there, is surplus to requirements at the Camp Nou.
