Tottenham ready to bid for German midfielder in January

Tottenham are reportedly ready to bid for young Schalke attacking midfielder Leroy Sane in January.

Spurs were rumoured to be keeping tabs on the 19-year-old last season, and scouts from the club were in attendance of the German side’s match against Eintracht Frankfurt on Wednesday.

However, with star man Julian Draxler departing for Wolfsburg during the summer transfer window, Schalke are unlikely to be willing to let their number 19, who has been promoted to the first-team squad this term, leave Gelsenkirchen.

Sane has made six appearances in the Bundesliga in the 2015-16 season, scoring two goals.
