Tottenham ready to meet FC Barcelona forward’s £9m release clause

Tottenham have reportedly entered talks to sign Spain forward Sandro Ramirez during the January transfer window, according to Sport.

The Premier League side, who currently hold fourth spot in the standings after their convincing 4-1 victory over Sunderland on Saturday, are interested in meeting the FC Barcelona star’s £9m release clause this month.

The 20-year-old, who is a Spain Under-21 international, has scored three goals in 18 appearances in all competitions for the La Liga giants this season.

Despite Barca turning down a loan offer from Real Betis for the forward earlier this month, Ramirez still looks set to leave the Nou Camp during the January transfer window, with Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs eager to bolster his attacking options as back-up to England international Harry Kane.
