Tottenham have come off the back of an awful week, having been knocked out of the Champions League by Monaco on Tuesday, only to suffer their first Premier League defeat of the season to Chelsea on the Saturday.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men have fallen well short in the Champions League this season, winning just one of their five matches so far. They can still qualify for the Europa League if they avoid defeat when they host CSKA Moscow in the final group game.

The loss at Stamford Bridge last weekend means Spurs have won six, drawn six, and lost one in the league this season. They need more wins, and to get them they’ve got to start scoring more goals.

The side from White Hart Lane have only scored 19 goals in 13 Premier League games so far this season, which is some way off the all of the current top four.

Despite star striker Harry Kane having just penned a new deal at the club, is spell on the sidelines proved that investment is still very much needed up top.

With Spurs still searching for their scoring touch, here’s THREE reasons why they should sign a striker this January.
